What We Do

Local Homes for Local Children
We believe that, whenever possible, it is in a child’s best interest to maintain meaningful connections with the important people in their lives. To support this, we will prioritise local children within a radius that allows these connections to be sustained.

Social Pedagogy
Our homes follow a social pedagogical approach, recognising that the relationships we build with children form the foundation for their success where adults and children grow together through everyday experiences.

Trauma Informed
We are committed to building communities that understand and embrace the unique needs of children with complex requirements, fostering an environment of acceptance and support.
Our Approach
Chrysalis Children services provides high quality care for some of the most vulnerable children in our communities. All our homes are OFSTED registered, and we provide child centred care that promotes a sense of belonging and connection.

We support children with social, emotional, and behaviour difficulties (SEBD) and mild learning disabilities (LD). All referrals come through Social Services, and we prioritise working with local children wherever possible to help maintain continuity in their education, friendships, hobbies and family relationships.
Our small two-bed homes create a homely environment built on trust, respect, and meaningful relationships.

Our Values
Mission Statement
At Chrysalis Children’s, our mission is to provide high-quality, child-centred care rooted in the principles of social pedagogy, the GROW model, and biophilic design. We create inclusive, nurturing environments where children feel safe, loved, valued, and accepted for who they are. We believe in stickability, a commitment to consistent, long-term relationships that create trust, resilience, and growth.
Every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging, to be held in unconditional positive regard, and to be supported in reaching their full potential. Through intentional care, therapeutic practice, and connection to nature, we aim to inspire transformation, helping children not only to heal, but to thrive
