Connor Thompson | CEO, Founder & Chairman of the Advisory Committee

Connor Thompson is a seasoned professional with over seven years of experience in children's services, specialising in establishing independent specialist schools and social care services. With a strong track record of success, Connor has consulted on a diverse range of council and private projects, demonstrating a deep commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people. His expertise spans strategic planning, operations management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Connor’s passion for supporting vulnerable populations drives his work, ensuring that every project he undertakes prioritizes the needs of children and families.
 
Connor is deeply committed to supporting and educating young people, dedicating his career to the health and social sector. His focus on building inclusive environments enables children to thrive, particularly those with complex needs. Connor actively collaborates with stakeholders to implement innovative programs and strategies that foster personal growth and academic achievement. His passion for advocacy and change is evident in every initiative he undertakes, as he strives to empower young people to reach their full potential and navigate life's challenges with confidence.

John Howard | Member of the Advisory Committee
 
John Howard is a serial entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in the business world. Throughout John's career, he has held directorships in more than 70 companies, he has also served as a main board director for Cambridge United Football Club and Auction House UK.
 
John is also a dedicated advocate for the next generation, consistently championing young people and their career development. His passion for fostering meaningful employment opportunities for youth has been a cornerstone of his professional life, reflecting his commitment to giving back and nurturing future talent.

Christon Burrows | Member of the Advisory Committee

Christon Burrows has over 30 years’ experience in finance, investing and operating businesses with a particular focus on property and financial services.  He originally qualified as a Barrister -at - law in 1996 before working in finance. 
 
Christon is also involved in a number of companies and charities in education and social housing including Oparo, Mamba, an alternative provision provider (both in the UK) and Futurestars (an education-through-sports charity working with schools in Ghana and Togo) and vision catalyst funds, a funder for eye health services in lower and middle-income countries.

Steve McCarthy | Member of the Advisory Committee

Steve McCarthy has decades of experience in property, children's education, and specialist care, having led the largest school in one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the Midlands as a Headmaster and Safeguarding lead, specialising in Looked After Children in the care system. Steve was also headhunted to be the Principle of the largest school in the Romero Academy, which became one of the top 5 per cent schools for academic success across the UK.

Steve has experience working as a counsellor with vulnerable children and those with learning difficulties, supporting young offenders in a Residential Secure Unit, and teaching across all age groups. Steve's property experience spans across single lets, HMO's, Service Accommodation, and Supported / Assisted Living, having been introduced to the Property Mastermind Hall of Fame in 2023.
